SRN PARENT PROGRAM

Seneca River North Little Baseball/Softball Program is a not for profit organization; typical enrollment 550 children in the communities of Clay, Baldwinsville & Liverpool supported entirely by SRNLL Parents & Sponsors. The success of our program and your child's experience is directly related to the parents expected hands on participation supporting SRN. The fundamental idea of Little League; parents and sponsors working together to provide an organized Little League program for all our children. Those who register for Seneca River North Little League, agree to become part of a program whose goals are achieved through that fundamental idea.

Parent’s Expected Active Participation

Parents who register their child in the SRN Program are informed in advance of their expected active participation in three ways; player registration flyers (published pre-registration), our website Player Registration page and at all player registration events (back of player registration form). The Board of Directors are parents and understand busy schedules. Parents are given choices during player registrations. To insure SRN parents understood this initiative; parents are required to read and initial the back of thier child's registration form.

History of the Parent Program

In September 2001, the Board of Directors recognized the need for an organized parent program to support SRNLL. A two year survey followed of SRN parent’s willingness and time available to support the program including; seven fields, three buildings and three Concession Fundraisers. As a result of that survey, the Parent Program was established and pre-scheduling of parents in Concession SRN Policy was enacted. If you are interested in the survey, past methods used to enlist parent's support with Concession, fields, facilities; a publication is available, please contact Laura Mason information@srnll.org  We also encourage you to be part of the decision making process; become a BOD Member elections are held  September of each year. Parent Program Guide

Concession Pre-Scheduling:

• SRN Policy, one parent per team, per game.
• All parents are pre-scheduled to assist in Concession by the Division Coordinators in tandem with game schedules. The advantage to parents, understanding schedules in advance.
• Parent actual active participation hands on per season, average two hours.
• Parents are expected to find their own backup. 
• In the Concession parents are encouraged to work together; rotate in and out of Concession this enables parents to see thier child hit or pitch during a game.

Alternatives to Concession:

Choose a task from the back of player registration forms during player registrations. Parents are contacted the first or second week of May. If the parent cannot commit to a specific task or date, they will be pre-scheduled in Concession end of season or open dates. During the season, contact information@srnll.org for an alternate task.

Our primary goals are 100% parent participation and fairness to all parents league wide who are participating hands on.  If you are unable to assist in the Concession Fundraiser please let us know in advance.
